Illusions

Using the theatre approach in the virtual space, we made theatre performance that is addressing the questions of love, infidelity, alienation, the emptiness, and the transience of life. Questions that, in extreme circumstances like these that we are living in now, are undoubtedly present in our minds. The reason that we choose this way of creating theatre is the global health crisis that deprived us of acting on stage. Every evening after the beginning of the curfew, we were meeting at zoom, discussing what can we work on and what should the approach be. We were also discussing the debates that one of the greatest contemporary directors were having via digital platforms, isolated in their homes. We are witnessing a period in which the theatre from every part of the world is standing in front of a common challenge, a common dilemma, with a unique opportunity for rethinking the theatre and offering solutions and new forms.
